Our Canada mission

As I promised I´ll try to write somee posts on our blog in english from time to time. I´m also sorry for my grammar mistakes but that´s the best that I can do :-)
So shortly...we decided to go to Canada and spend here a year. Me and my boyfriend Kuba are having a working holiday permit so we are allowed to work. We arrived a month ago. Quick stop in Vancouver for all working permits, canadian SIM card, canadian account and this kind of stuff. We bought a car, nice and beloved Chevy Lumina, threw out all seats, except from front seats and made a bed at rear. So ready for travelling! Live in your van style!
We managed the cherry picking which supposed to star on July 15th so till this date we were thinking about little climbing holiday. So we hit the road to Squamish. I don´t need to introduce Squamish to climbers. It is a Mecca of crag and trad climbing. Climbing areas are huge and wide spread all over. We spent a 10 days there. Our car needed a brake pads change so we spent also our last money for a repair. We decided to work before cherries and on the internet we found a job very easily.
Glenn needed a apple thinners so we jump into repaired car and begin our way to Kelowna. Kelowna is 5-6 hours driving from Squamish, road leads through the mountains, you are having very nice landscape views and also 3 cm of hails when we were driving through the mountain pass. After all adventure we arrived to Function Junction Cross Family Orchard and find out that water is running down from our car. This was a bad news. The good news were that we can start working tomorrow morning and we can camp in the orchard for free.
Nice group of people were working with us so we had a fun after every day in apple tree rows. Glenn-the owner told us that there is a work for 2 or 3 weeks and in total we worked 2,5 weeks there.
We went to the garage to see what next happened to our car and we found out that we need a new radiator. We were lucky because Glenn ordered one from Vancouver and helped us with change. So we save some money and can drive around again :-)
On July 1st was a Canada day so Glenn and his wife made for us great BBQ and best chocolate cake with ice-cream ever! :-)
When work was done and to the begginig of cherry picking is a more than week of time remain our next target was clear! Another climbing spot in Penticton better Skaha Bluffs. We met a friend in Squamish who lives there-czech girl Eva and she is a great guide through Skaha area for us.
So now we are enjoying a climbing opportunities here. Our days are lazy and great. We are climbing from morning, after usually go to have a swim in the Skaha lake, make a dinner in a park next to the lake. And every night sleep at Walmart carpark-it is allowed to stay here overnight so no problem. What a shame that we can´t stay overnight at Skaha´s parking lot, it´s real beauty up there.
Our days in Skaha are running out and cherries are calling us. I have to admit that I want to stay longer but what we can do. We gonna be in Oyama it´s 90 km up north from Penticton. And probably will explore the climbing area in Kelowna which lies 30 km down south from Oyama. Wish us a luck and I´m sending a cherry greetings from Canada.
